Each of us has a thread of song weaving in and out of the pages of our diaries. A bit of fragile melody that cascades through our lives, moving up and down, taking its turn with the dissonant as well as the harmonic.
No one is perfect. Our songs are shattered by our stubborn desire to change the tempo and melody as we please. But if we offer the splinters of our lives to God, to let him do as he wills, the pieces can become a stunning whole. In the hands of the Creator, even a shattered song can become a symphony. We just have to follow the lead of the Conductor.
Greetings, and welcome to a slice of my life!
I’m a college student hailing from the beautiful Pacific Northwest currently sojourning in the land of Arkansas, where fried okra, hospitality, and southern drawl have free reign. I love to read, write, make music, and hang out with friends. I’m just crunchy enough to use essential oils, but not health-conscious enough to forgo my daily dose of chocolate. This blog is simply a place for me to share my musings about daily life, faith, and the world we live in.
And now, since I prefer to retain some degree of anonymity on the wide world of the internet, please enjoy this picture of my forehead.
Shoot me an email and let me know what you think! If that’s too archaic, I do occasionally check my other social media.
Fan mail is gladly accepted. Hate mail is less popular. Fudge recipes? Bring it on.
